It really got to me looking at the photo of the young teacher, younger than Craig, who died while protecting her children.  These teachers were all so brave & I know he would have done the same.  I pray this never happens again.

The school did have some security & the shooter forced his way in.  How he did so I don't know.

DR Druxy, I had a mixed lab for many years and she was a very good dog. I would recommend lab mixes in general. I hope this works out for you.

I truly loathe the media and I really have to not look at Facebook, where even some of my friends are so disgustingly "outraged" it makes me want to vomit on the ground.  They just don't see it, I guess, how it's all about THEM.  This is NOT about them or their beliefs or anything else.  This is about a horrible tragedy so yes mourn but shut the damn hell up on a public place like Facebook - or post one line and then go do something constructive.

No one could expect this.  I just wish they would stop saying his name in the news so as not to encourage someone else.

I tried watching the new film of Anna Karinina but had to shut it off.  Just a little too Baz Luhrman for me.  Tried to watch the film of Persuasion - just a little too boring for me.  But both films are perfect to put you to sleep so I've gotten about forty minutes of napping in.  May watch a little of The Master now, just to see if a second helping is better than the first.

Watched about thirty minutes of The Master - it's better at home, but I can't get past the self-indulgent performance of its leading man (and I don't mean Mr. Hoffman) - it's just the kind of "acting" I cannot stand - I'm sure he believed it all and was intense to work with and I'm sure his fellow actors loved it all and I'm sure it appeals to some people - but not to me.  Now I'm listening to a new master.

Had a great day today.  My sister and brother in law were at my parents' house, so I drove up for the day.  Adam, Sundee and Gabe were also in town so we had a brunch with most of the family.   It was nice to see everyone.  I was there from about 9 until 3:30 or so and then came home. It really was a nice day
