Actually, he probably does.  I am not able to get down on the floor and play with him.  Well, I could probably get down, I am just not sure I would ever get back up.

DR elmore when doing a search on the unabridged version you suggested I noticed you said I could not have read the unabridged version in 2 days.  Considering the speed & non stop reading I did back then I doubt another 200 pages would have made much of a difference.

I do not recall ever making a comment about reading the unabridged novel in two days an impossibility or whatever I supposedly posted..

This is funny because I didn't remember either but I saw it when I searched "unabridged" to find the version you had suggested reading.  There is was in the search:

DR Jeanne, that is very sad.  Were they in an accident together?  Even when we don't stay close to certain people their passing can hit us very hard, especially those we grew up with. 

No, not an accident. Several months apart. I don't have all the details yet.

That is extra hard to hear the news so far after it happened.

The last time my parents visited my mom's family in Germany, she found out that her father had died a couple of years before that.  She actually had never known her dad and was never was told that he was even still alive.

That must have been very strange for her.

She really didn't talk about it after she got back from her trip, but I could see that she was a bit upset about it.

I don't know if she wasn't curious or that she thought (or might've been told) that he had already died a long time ago.

Was her father's first name Adolph?

No!  Actually, I have no idea.  Well, at least he wasn't that Adolph...she lived in Bavaria, which is the southern part of Germany, not too close to the action.

I, too, look forward to THE WELL-DIGGER'S DAUGHTER. I have to keep a window open to Netflix whenever I'm reading the Notes or posts.

Sometimes I miss having NetFlix.  On the upside, Keith has been recording numerous old movies we didn't used to watch.

I'm seriously thinking about dropping Netflix.  I just don't watch enough to justify the monthly price.  They're definately making money off of me.

Why was I the last to know that Jaymes, part of the Chippendale's dancer duo competing on this last season's The Amazing Race, was gay? No mention was made during the show, but still everyone I know already knew.

He was one of the nicest people I have ever watched compete on this show, I must say.

Which one is gay Jaymes? Since they both have the same name I never knew which was Jaymes and which was James.

Gay Jaymes is the one with blonde hair whose dad has cancer.

Too bad.  I think the other one is hotter.

I'd take either one.

Sigh. I miss the snow. It's been in the low 60s with some rain here in LA and I'm delighted with cool temps and precip.

On Christmas Day, George hogged all of the snow down at his house.  So we had to settle for a Wet Christmas.

Don't blame me...I didn't ask for it!  Although, I didn't mind it.

And now, I'm off.  My sister called me a little while ago to ask if I would help her take some heavy boxes of shelves out of her car that she got from Ikea.  I can't help her put it (them?) together tonight, so I'm off the hook for that.  I'm otherwise free Saturday.  We'll see if she needs my help with these.
