Good morning. While Keith works hard replanting plants I have a hike in the mountains planned followed by a trip to the eye doctor. Drops will be put in my eyes so I'm not sure when I will be back to the computer.

I see that Olive Films is releasing PENNY SERENADE on dvd and blu-ray. I presume these will be an improvement over that previous public domain releases, and if so, I will be first in line to buy it!! I just love that movie!

I saw the early reading of Sleepless the Musical - dreadful. Then they had it all rewritten, including the score, but you can't really change the story, can you? And the story - well - how can it work as a musical? In the film you have two people in different cities for most of the film - even though they have two brief sightings they really don't meet until the last minute of the movie. In film you have editing and close-ups. On stage you have two people at opposite ends of the stage - I don't see how that can ever work. Not every movie, despite its brand, needs to be a musical.

I had a crazy dream last night, also. I was working, as a second job, back at my long ago former employer Bi-Mart. It was my first day and at the end of the day there was a big hub-bub because there was 1/4 of a million dollars missing from the till that I and another cashier had been working on.

There was a big investigation involving management and all of the employees and then the CIA or FBI or some other official types were brought in.

I was quite upset to be a suspect; I wasn't worried about losing my job, as I had only taken this second job out of boredom. I also could not understand how there could have possibly ever been that much money in any of our tills...but at the tail end of the dream it turned out to be another employee had stolen the money...and it was Amanda, a contestant from the current season of Big Brother.
