I just checked and my library seems to have all or most of the books. The only problem is that I cannot keep up with all of the books that I already have on my TBR list. Between books I have won, books i have on my kindle, books from netgalley, and new library books in series i have read it is crazy.

But thanks for the recommendation. I think my mom might actually love these books (she likes Lisa Gardner a lot). And she doesn't have the backlog I have. She is always looking for new books.

I'm not sure I would compare them to Lisa except that they are also mysteries.  I thought of the YA ones because you like YA and they were quick reads.

Does your mother like dogs, humor and law mysteries?  I have had two people thank me for recommending "Open and Shut" by David Rosenfelt.

The motor for our dishwasher is the correct part and not visibly broken so the repair guy is installing it.  I sure hope it works.

The trouble with whistlers, in general, is that their whistling generally seems mindless.  They just whistle something erratic with no tune.  No melody.  Many I've heard whistle because they can, not because they should because -- frankly -- they should not.   It's like singing.  You should have a reason to sing and the song should have a beginning and an ending.

If you've ever worked in an office that required any thinking on your part and someone was an idle whistler, then you'd understand the concept of someone stepping on your last nerve.  It's like the "American Idol" auditions with one too many William Hungs trying to sing.  It's an out-of-body "ear worm".

Of course, there are people who can whistle.  One should not encourage them, however. 

The workplace does not seem, to me, to be an appropriate place to whistle.

Hmmm, and how often do you actually have vegetables in a little side salad?  Usually there is only a little bit of grated carrots and some tomatoes which are fruit.  Now a spinach salad is different but they are rarely side salads.

I love salads, but I don't consider lettuce by itself to be a salad.  I almost always add, mushrooms, cucumbers, carrots, kidney beans, garbanzo beans, and if I am lucky, sliced beets (either pickled or plain).

There is a chain of restaurants around here, called The Ram that serve a tossed cobb salad,  It tastes much better with the dressing tossed thru it.

I thought our storm last night was almost over at about 11:00, but then the thunder and lightening started,  Then it slowed down, and I thought it was safe to go to sleep.  At about 12:30, there was the biggest clap of thunder I have ever heard anywhere in my entire life.  The whole apartment shook, Nicky took off on a dead run, and I literally had to check to see if all the windows were broken.

And that is when the rain and wind began again.

You could always have oil and vinegar.

True, but it still is on top of a boring little salad-lol

Every time I have salad (as a side) at a restaurant it is always really good (full of lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers...)

She likes law mysteries. She likes dogs okay. Not sure if she likes humor in her books but i think so.

If pickled beets are anywhere near my food I can't eat it.  That juice spreads and takes over completely-yuck.

Sometimes when we are traveling I order a side salad and ask them to leave off the lettuce and add extra carrots.  So far only one salad actually arrived as requested-lol

The dishwasher is working.  I will know for sure in a few days when I have enough dishes to run it.

He took $20 off the cost of labor to make up for inconveniencing us.  That was nice though I would rather have had it fixed the first time out.

I was woken up this morning at 5:21 am by the loudest and longest thunder clap that I've heard in my life.  I heard thunder last night, but nothing like the one this morning.  It was incredibly loud!
