To get to page 2 -

It was #72 in "Parodies" books earlier in the week (I took a pdf of that, of course, doubt it'll get into the Parody 100 again unless a miracle happens), among lots of distinguished parody books in that 100.

Not sure if that's measured by traffic to the page or sales or both or a combination of factors.

We just got our first review on Amazon for DEAREST ENEMY and it's good. I get a slam for my brass writing being 1930s and 1940s, but since the reviewer is vague about which brass sections, it's hard to know if he's knocking my work or the original late 1920s rescoring I worked from! I wonder if he's actually listened to much authentic 1920s vrass playing.

When I was doing the high-powered legal stuff for those years, we took a trip there for an acquisition, and pretty much went from the hotel to the office for the meetings and work, and except for some nice meals, never had time to see the town, which looked great.

DR MBarnum I know people who rescue Bernese Mt. Dogs and see dogs of pets in need on FB. My concern is my own safety if we get a dog. Almost every dog has inadvertently caused me some kind of injury. I admit, I like getting up at night at not worrying about tripping over an animal. Plus the sad fact that I cannot take the dog hiking on my own.

If we do get a dog maybe I can get it trained as a service dog to protect me from getting knocked down.

Good morning. I'm home. Trying to get things together and get motivated. The "Dearest Enemy" CD came when I was away, as well as my new iPhone 5s. Both are exciting. I still haven't seen DD Ben yet. My pal Judy, whom Ben stayed with while I was gone, is bringing him to choir rehearsal this evening. So much to do today, one of which might be purchasing a bass guitar. Which is daunting, but exciting.

Everyone in my office is off to San Francisco to visit a furniture showroom to see the latest in office furniture product, have lunch and meet with new reps at the manufacturer's showroom.

Except for me. I am blissfully immersed in silence for the next couple of hours. Just me and my PC.
