DR ELMORE hopefully the new moon in Aquarius this evening will lessen some of the aggravations of the past couple of weeks.

Me, too!

DR JRand64, I got my tax info from Social Security last Friday.  i'm sure yours is on the way.

Ditto, not that there was that much for them to report!

With the new moon in Aquarius, isn't it likely that Elmo might experience some sort of water event?

Speaking of cruddy days, I've just shopped for Mom and delivered said shopping to her.  I pray that my heart kills me before I get into the shape she's in now.

I know that some of the programs available for pre-recorded music now allow for tempo adjustments.  I remember seeing a production of THE BOYS FROM SYRACUSE in which the prerecorded orchestra was fantastic, but every time a song began the pace of the show went to hell because the tempos were too slow for the comedy.

TOD

I remember seeing a community JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR performed to a CD that someone had created, that at the time I thought sounded pretty good, and pacing/spontaneity didn't seem to be compromised.

My only other exposure to tracks would be a larger production of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST in which the MD used MTI's OrchExtra or whatever it's called, and that is completely controllable.  It was pretty damned impressive.  Or it seemed so, since I'd never seen and heard it used before.  He "played" that (it's done on a tiny keyboard) and conducted, and had a live drummer and bass player.  But you heard a "full orchestra".  And like I said, all the tempos, etc., are totally in his control.

I know I've heard a couple of professional productions sweetened with the use of that (or something like it), but those don't count because there were a fair number of live players.

Does anyone want a copy of the OBC of Honeymoon in Vegas? For the first time, Amazon has screwed up an order of mine and sent me two copies of the CD. I don't want to deal with the return process if someone in HHW land would want to give it a listen.

Message me.

Had a fun read-through, then the cast went back to music rehearsals, so I left and was home by twelve-thirty.  I then began futzing and finessing and there was a LOT of it - I spent a solid two hours, but I'm feeling pretty good about it now.  It was just smoothing stuff out, taking some first person dialogue and doing it as third person narration and that kind of thing.  I'm printing the pages out now and then I'll Xerox and get them to Muse Margaret, and hopefully she'll like them.

My printer has been spazzing out for weeks - just taking forever to print each book page - it should fly along as it used to.  Almost done now.

It would be interesting to see the outcome.  I think both sides are being rude and neither are thinking of how the children feel about the situation.

That's what I love about my Kindle...I never turn on the wi-fi, so it never syncs up with my account, so the books on my Kindle will stay there forever...well, they have so far.  It's probably been more than two years since I turned on the wifi.

Well how can you ever get new books if you don't turn on the wifi?   That wouldn't really seem practical to me.  But if I wanted to keep a loaned book for an extra day it would work.

To get new books, I have the option to "Transfer via computer," and download through a USB cable.  That way I can get any new books that I want AND not have to turn on my Wi-Fi.

OMG you are crazy.  Doing it with the USB cable is such a pain!

L O L !!!  I agree.

If I only downloaded books onto either of my tablets that have lots of other apps and things that I could do with Wi-Fi, then it would be a real pain, but I'm using my Kindle ONLY as a reader, it's not a problem for me.

Okay.

DR elmore, I suggest you make an appointment with the pain doctor.  You can always cancel, however, if by March you need to go it will take another very long time to get an appointment.

VIBES YOU DO NOT NEED THE APPOINTMENT!!!

DR George, if they can do that with the referral system.  Sometimes those are set for certain dates and can't be changed-stupid I know.
