Saturday afternoon greetings!  I've been at Brown's Run Country Club for AAUW Middletown's 90th anniversary luncheon.  It was lovely, but I'm glad to be home in time for Michigan football - Go, Blue!

Thanks to everyone who sent eye vibes last evening.  It's not any better today, but it's not worse, so that's something.

I'll almost be glad when Monday gets here because I seem to be running around all weekend.

Wasn't going to do it, but got up in time to drive down the street to the local library's fall book sale.  Came back with an armload of what I'm pretty sure are MINT copies of c-1960s plays on LP:  a couple of Old Vic Shakespeare productions, The Glass Menagerie with Julie Harris (replaces one I used to have), a Columbia recording of Shakespeare excerpts with Gielgud, and several other nice things.  They're giving these things away for $1 each -- not per disc, per set!

Then I went with friends to a food truck fest being held at a nearby almost-century-old local amusement park.  It's not only a quite charming place in its own right, in today's bright fall colors it was downright gorgeous.  I snapped a few shots on my phone, so later I'll see how worthy any of them might be.

Tomorrow, possibly a last quick morning run through the book sale to see what I might want at half price, then an afternoon to a garlic festival in Bethlehem, Connecticut...another fine fall tradition.

Never seen this one, so I'll soon be finding out for myself what is or isn't under slip covers...

Guess I'll go do some errands and whatnot.  I really don't like things like weddings (I like them, but from afar), but we must do what we must do.  It could be worse - it was for the idiot squirrel who thought taking a dip in the hot tub was a good idea.  Note to squirrel: You're dead now and floating in my hot tub - it wasn't a a good idea.  There I will leave the idiot squirrel because if I fish him out and dump in the trash can it will smell up the whole yard.  Pool man comes next Wednesday and he'll attend to it.

That's great, ChasSmith!  When I was in college, the music library where I worked had a record sale and I got more than a dozen practically brand new opera record sets.

Cool!  It was on earlier this year and I was able to record it and make a DVD of it. :)

It was beautiful out earlier when I went for a 4 mile walk.  I would have gotten home before it began to rain had I not stopped and talked with a woman I met on the path.  It didn't rain hard and I jog for a little bit of my return trip.
