TOD from yesterday:
Mark did some research on "Fargo" and apparently the entire thing is fiction. The film was fiction, the TV series last season was fiction and this season is fiction. Well that explains the ridiculousness of it all. I don't know why the writers feel the need to lie to us that way. I feel utterly betrayed and deceived. And it's just plain rude!

FARGO is the best show on television today.

The producers never made it a secret that the story was fiction.

Indeed, if you read carefully the "disclaimer" at the start of each episode, you should recognize that it's tongue in cheek.

I made my first gluten free cake yesterday. I didn't like it. I guess there is something about wheat flour that makes things so good.

Maybe you just the wrong cake mix.

I've been gluten free for several years, and I have no problem finding ready made cupcakes and cakes at the market that taste great.

Wednesday morning greetings!  The fog has lifted and now it's cold and sunny here in SW Ohio.  Today I'm going to continue decking our halls.

I've had some Amazon weirdness recently, too.  Back in September, I pre-ordered something that was to be published on November 12.  It was a present for Richard's birthday on the 13th, so I paid for overnight shipping intending that it would arrive on his special day.  Between 10 and 11pm on the 12th, I got an email that the item was delayed and I'd be notified when it shipped.  So, Richard received a picture of said item in his birthday card.

This past Sunday I received an email stating that it had shipped and would arrive on Monday by 8pm.  Well, I was checking the porch right up to 7:59 and - Nope.  It was here yesterday when I got home from Dayton.

I'm up, I'm up - still took forever to fall asleep last night, but once asleep I slept straight through to now - may go back to sleep after the helper is here.

I haven't watched NBC's broadcast of the parade, yet.

Regarding jukebox musicals - The NBC coverage starts off with ON YOUR FEET! (the Gloria Estefan jukebox/catalog musical) - a really interesting number that starts off way uptown and ends up at Macy's, so I assume part of that number was pre-recorded.

I always assumed that all the vocals are pre-recorded, but the performances themselves are live and that they schedule and time everything down to the second.

The doctor released wife Sandy yesterday, so now she can drive.

And, I no longer have to follow her around at the grocery store while she decides which head of lettuce she should buy.

 ;D

Great news for DW Sandy!

I would think that since you paid for overnight delivery, you should get a refund on that cost. :-\ You might have to contact them and request it, though.

But she still might appreciate your assistance pushing the cart and reaching for things.

The repairman came to fix our electric bed and said it was installed incorrectly, in fact he has never seen such a bad installation.  The bed company is not responsible.

Wish me luck, I'm about to make some phone calls.

I missed a return call from the furniture store by a couple of minutes.  They didn't leave a message.
