They have just updated the weather forecast for tomorrow.  They are now predicting winds from  40 to 60 mph between 2:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.

Hey, all! Hope everyone's been well during my most recent E&T spell.

Miracle vibes to bk, and wellness & happiness vibes to all them what needs 'em.

TOD: I'm not a TV watcher, but I greatly enjoy John Oliver's "Last Week Tonight." I just did a Netflix subscription and binged through "Jessica Jones" - not terrible by any means, but less than the sum of some very excellent parts. For my money (and if you see my bank account, you'll know that's not much), the show tries too hard to Make Big Statements About Important Issues and the plot suffers for it. I admit to a pretty strong bias, though: the only superhero comic I've read in the last decade is Kurt Busiek's "Astro City," and that is generally so well written that anything else pales in comparison.

Good morning, all!

How the hell did anyone talking in circles and spouting such idiocies as Paul Ryan get elected to anything?  He's on CBS THIS MORNING just now, and he left me speechless.

So, I am up.  I had a dream, something about Bernstein's CANDIDE, last night but i remember little of it now.

DR John G, aren't you just the harbinger of bad news?

It's pretty amazing the variations of shades of color you get when you search on "burnt umber."

I love reading Michael Connelly's novels, but I'm not sure they've translated well to other media. That's why I've stayed away from the series Bosch. Will be interested in BK's take.
