Regarding DR Elmore's ghostly visitations, if Larry were to move to other quarters would the ghosts go there or stay where they are? How does this work? Larry? JRand? Anyone?

I missed rehearsal tonight.  That is okay, I only had four words to say in this scene.

Oh live a little, DR Jane. Skip doing the dishes on your birthday!       :)

;D

They were the morning dishes.  Fortunately we went out for a late lunch and did not eat dinner at home.

What he said!

:)

I could not have slept if I left Keith's coffee mugs in the sink and made him wash them.  I like to do dishes and he does not.

I liked Spotlight a lot, but I don't think it's my favorite - I liked Brooklyn and Bridge of Spies better, in certain ways.

All movies I want to see.

Has anyone read Brooklyn?

I swear, these stinking scammer calls have reached epic proportions.  They spoof numbers in your are code, cell or otherwise, so they look like legit numbers.  If you're on the phone and they call, of course you take the call because it looks like a cell number.  So, apparently no one ever does anything about these assholes and they have now caused us to live in a world where we simply cannot answer the phone.
You should live in Iowa. I get 5 to 6 calls every evening that are either trashing a political candidate or taking a poll. Most people I know either don't answer or lie. I've done both.  I do answer occasionally to tell them to stop calling. It doesn't work

Topic of the Day:  I first really discovered musicals without realizing it.  Several times while growing up, my sister and I had watched the movie version of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.  I don't think that I knew what a "musical" was, but we just loved the physical comedy in the movie (and the running gag with the mare's sweat).  We never forgot that movie, but didn't really learn anything about it, like who wrote it.  We were too young to think about such things.

Then when I was in eighth grade, I had to write a report on geothermal energy (I don't know why I still remember that) and my mom took me to the local library to get some books.  I also looked through the library records to bring something home that I could listen to while copying writing my report.

What I brought home were the original Broadway cast recordings of Ain't Misbehavin' and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.  Interesting choices, huh?  I probably got them because of the album art.  ST was just so weird and I liked it, but I fell absolutely in LOVE with AM!  I still love that album cover art.

Anyway, I also fell in love with the recording of Ain't Misbehavin', but I also thought that the recording of Sweeney Todd was kind of weird.  I didn't listen to it very much, but I didn't hate it.  As I got older and went into high school, friends of mind taught me about other musicals, and in choir we sang songs from musicals, and I started to really like them.

I discovered A Little Night Music, then (I think) Company (and a whole bunch of other musicals), and then rediscovered ST, which I fell in love with after those few years.  I finally realized that those were all by the same composer and he also composed the score to Forum!  I realized that I was hooked on musicals and have been ever since!

All during this time, I was also discovering The Manhattan Transfer.  I mainly learned about them through choir.  Both my middle school and high school choir teachers loved them.  And it really helped that many of TMT's arrangements were published for choirs to perform!  I learned that the soprano was from Mount Vernon, Washington, and thought that that was really cool!  I've been in love with them ever since. :D
