I've always loved the Manhattan Transfer logo, too. Very retro, very classy, and I think it reflects their style quite well.

Sorry about the leg pain, DR Elmore. I hope it abates soon.

Back from a birthday breakfast burrito - very good.  Two screeners arrived today - Carol and the one I really want to see, Trumbo.

From today's Notes:

"...since not one human being has actually asked me to do anything for my actual birthday...so perhaps a quiet birthday is the way to go, unless someone surprises me and says let’s go do something."

Well, this non-human did invite Mr BK for a birthday lunch, which could have been today. But said non-human cannot hie herself to Studio City, so the birthday lunch will have to wait a bit, until those with driving vision can hie themselves nearer to me.

I wonder if DRs Elmore or SingSing or Matthew or anyone has seen this and knows it exists...?

I'm looking for a piano/vocal edition of Leroy Anderson's A CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL.  I can only find the full score and the instrumental and vocal parts published, and I already have access to those.  Am I just searching poorly tonight, or might there actually not be a piano reduction available?  Just for rehearsal, doesn't matter how good or bad it is.

Tomorrow I think I will see if the treadmill is free at the little gym in the clubhouse.  Two days in a row now I have gotten totally drenched walking.  I need proper rain clothing.

DR TCB we are going to wait until closer to our trip to Tacoma to book a hotel room.  Right now the Silver Cloud is a bit pricey.  The Murrano in downtown, while not my taste looks nice enough and is much less.  Do you suggest one location for convenience over the other?

Thank you, DR Kevin H!  He enjoyed some homemade turkey pie for dinner tonight.

Sorry, DR ChasSmith - I have searched online, but like you have been unable to find a piano reduction for that title.

Prior to that, I "liked" all the Facebook birthday wishes - all 650 of 'em.

I don't know what my official count was though it was not anywhere near as many considering I "only" have 258 friends.  I responded to each of them, at least I hope I did not miss anyone, which often began a short conversation.  I was exhausted-lol.  Now I understand why people do a generic thank you on their page.

And now, I'm off to a Theater Artists Olympia board meeting.  I know that I shall not be bored with my board...we have many things to discuss.

Until later!

Must now go out and do a couple of things, then I'll be back to spend a quiet birthday evening at home with the birthday boy.  And I'm jiggy with that.

I am soooo out of shape.  I don't belong to a gym anymore which means I don't use a stairmaster.  That would be ok if we had any hills to walk around here.  I'm trying to use the stairs more here, which is kind of boring since it is only 3 flights and I have to keep going up and down.  Boring or not, I need to do those stairs as I am finding myself out of breath when I run them.
