Back from a lovelier than lovely dinner with dear readers Jane (and her ever-lovin' Keith) and Jeanne.  The food, I must say, was excellent - really good pastrami, decent kishka.  I have another photo Jane posted on Facebook for inclusion in the notes.

Oh good, I don't have to ask Keith to send it to George.

Auditions (of course) last night.  Nothing definite yet, but it's looking like we won't be able to cast that best worst show.  Not without holding another audition and a miracle taking place.

What is the best worst show?

TCB - I'm kind of shocked that some of that SNL material was on at 9:45 on the West coast!   Seems even more questionable than some of the language Colbert was being targeted for.

This is part of a 5-week test period, showing SNL live on the West Coast.  I have a feeling it won't be repeated.

Here is an interesting and completely non-political question - as we all know, using initials today is the "thing."  LOL, LMAO, YMMV, ur - I don't like them at all.  I know this is all because of instant messaging and texting, but when did using POTUS, FLOTUS, and SCOTUS become a thing?  No one EVER EVER EVER used these initials when I was growing up - in fact, I can't remember them being used even two decades ago.  I want the guilty party's name.

Interesting that "Good evening" and "Good night" mean exactly the opposite.

;D

The first time I heard these terms used was in the last ten years. My guess is that there were originally White House/Congressional terms that the press picked up and started using.

Yes, it has been a short trip.  We are ready to go home.  Bryan is also flying out for a visit.  We need to get home.
