The beautiful Anne Jeffreys, whom I loved in TOPPER, has died. It was knowing her from that that prompted my watching the Max Liebman broadcast of DEAREST ENEMY, which has played a big part in my career. I was lucky to have seen her with Alfred Drake in KISMET.

I'd read about that, too. I have a 2-VHS set of episodes of "Topper," and they include the episode(s) (co-)written by Stephen Sondheim!

And now, I'm leaving work and going to dinner at a friend's house. I haven't seen Chip and his wife Pennie in several years! And Melodie, the daughter of another mututal friend Cindy, will be there, too. She's a professional theater actress/singer and is in town visiting old friends. I haven't seen her in many years!

I have fallen in love with little Petunia, a rescued kitten and runt of the litter in Bed Stuy. For a while there was concern that she would not live since there were too many kittens and the mother was letting the others leave Petunia in the dust. So they got her a foster mother cat, who was part of the same rescued group.

They keep saying we will get a larger than usual COL adjustment for our Social Security next year! But I doubt it will be even a fraction of the amount DR RLP saved....probably not even as much as he SPENT....on his haircut.
