And I'm finally home.

Last night, I had dinner with friends that I hadn't seen in many years!  So many years that I misremembered the name of Cindy's daughter who was visiting.  I said that Melodie was visiting, but it was her older sister, Lisa.

I got to Chip and Pennie's house right about 6 pm, and didn't leave until about 11:50 pm!  A great time was had by all!

Mt bedding is down the street at the Ripoff Laundromat.  The first machine jammed the coins so I had to move to another washer. Then the larger washer, which held the comforter and bedspread, required 30 quarters, but the coins kept jamming and I would swear that I actually inserted 32-33 quarters.  I may call the better business bureau.

As soon as the washers down the street go into the dryers in around 45 minutes, I will begin the basement laundry of all the dirty clothes and twels from this week's apartment workover.

When the laundry is finished, bed made, and the remainder put away, I am doing nothing more today.

It's a slow morning, with a good number of people taking a day off for Yom Kippur today, probably because it falls on Friday night to  Saturday.

DR Ginny, today is the 25th anniversary of the death of our friend Howard Philips.  He was 41, a talented singer and actor, and he died far too young.

I guess when people are used to a day off for a Jewish holiday, they take one even if it's on the weekend rather than just leave early.
