Went to Dollar Tree and Walmart ALL BY MYSELF this morning, and everything was fine. First time alone since April.....hoping for good results next Tuesday.

I got a lovely thank you card from Emily, wife of my friend who passed away last week. I am so glad I went......SO GLAD.....

I have not seen any movie this year that I would recommend.

Of course, since I don't go to movie theaters any more and only view films via Redbox or on cable TV, there hasn't been that many (2-3) 2017 movies I've seen. Those that are available, don't really interest me.

I am home from pharmacy and other errands. Annabelle has checked out my breakfast and coffee several times between bird watching duties, and had another close Encounter of the Friendly Kind with Thatch, so clearly all is getting back to normal.

MAJOR BREAKTHROUGH! Thatch is bad about getting to the food that sticks to the side of his bowl, so I got a fork to push the food into the center of his bowl. When I opened the door the Nosy Annabelle jumped in to check out the cage, then ate his food and now she's sitting in his litter box. Thatch is puttering about in a happy mood, his little tail straight up. I think he's happy.

After that, i decided WTF, and Thatch is sprung. He's exploring the apartment. The cage door is open if he wants to go back inside.

And that lasted five minutes! They got into a Big Fight and Thatch is now back to the cage.

I just got an email from my veterinarian-choreographer friend Mike. He's just returned from a family visit and told me he had a kitten from Red Hook, if I wanted it. After this passive aggressive round of Thatch and Annabelle, I'm ready to trade both in for this new one.

So, I decided to keep the cage door open and let him come out if he wants. He's been out twice now and gone back inside. I've created a feeding spot for him across from Annabelle's

I've got to deal with Annabelle's eye drops so I have more hell to go through today.
