I am home from pharmacy and other errands.  Annabelle has checked out my breakfast and coffee several times between bird watching duties, and had another close Encounter of the Friendly Kind with Thatch, so clearly all is getting back to normal.

I believe DR George is enjoying the new show, The Orville, as much as we are.

I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep and must now go do stuff.  But my longtime helper is done and I have to now find someone else.  She got a full-time helper job about three months ago and was trying to do both, but it's impossible and her husband has been helping but that's not what I signed up for and this is for the best - but I now have to find a new helper - she'll train them for two weeks but this all has to happen in the next four weeks, like I don't have enough going on right now.

Good luck finding someone new.  At least you had her through the move.

Pumpkin and pecan pies are baking and the house smells so good!  I’m sitting down with ice on my foot until the timer goes off.

You were able to bake today!  Is your foot hurting a bit less today?

All quiet: two sleeping kitties, bank issues resolved via phone, and I am enjoying a day with little to do.  I need to get back to the DVD disposal.

It tires easily and tells me when it’s time to rest.

I'm actually glad about the helper change - since she took this job she just doesn't do everything that needs doing and I'm kind of last on her list now.  She's been out of town three times in the last six months, the last time just three weeks ago without any warning.

I have two people in mind - don't know if either will want to do it or can devote the ten to twenty hours a week to it (sometimes not even ten).

Maybe she was hoping you would let her go instead of having to be the one to quit.

MAJOR BREAKTHROUGH!  Thatch is bad about getting to the food that sticks to the side of his bowl, so I got a fork to push the food into the center of his bowl.  When I opened the door the Nosy Annabelle jumped in to check out the cage, then ate his food and now she's sitting in his litter box.  Thatch is puttering about in a happy mood, his little tail straight up.  I think he's happy.

That's wonderful! ;D

After that, i decided WTF, and Thatch is sprung.  He's exploring the apartment.  The cage door is open if he wants to go back inside.

And that lasted five minutes!  They got into a Big Fight and Thatch is now back to the cage.

D'oh! :o

Well, he's in and out of the cage!  Right now he's pit where his food will now be put.  After several hissy battles this afternoon, Thatch was eating his dinner and Annabelle pushed her way into his bowl to see what he was having. No conflict at all! We'll see how long that lasts.

So, Thatch is eating and Annabelle's playing in a large paper bag.  She didn't eat much.

Okay, off to rehearsal.  This will be a short one.  Just a few of us are working on a couple of numbers because others are sick, and then we're out of there.

I am home from the first part of the root canal. It went smoothly. I never sleep well before my dental visits, and now have the rest of the day to relax.

Traffic driving there was relatively light, but coming home it was much heavier than usual for the time of day. Shoppers? I understand freeway traffic being heavy, and airport traffic heavy, but not the streets I was on.

Thanks for last night's vibes.
