Richard elected to stay home this morning, but we planning to go to Lessons & Carols in Dayton early this evening - unless the weather gets bad...

DR Laura, we've had a bit of a Christmas Miracle on 82nd Street.  I have given Thatch his oral medicine and put salve in his eyes, and instead of running from me afterwards, he's been rubbing against my leg, and then he let me pick him up and hold him!

Aww. He does love you.

Good afternoon. I am just back from church. Lots of people I didn't know.

This is about the most relaxed Christmas Eve I’ve had in a long time.

He's definitely conflicted about the whole megillah.

I forgot to mention that I was able to eat dinner using my right arm, and using chop sticks.

Thatch and I were dancing calypso to Bryn Terfel singing David Cullen's wonderful arrangement of "Mary's Boy Child."  We weren't very good with my limp and his four feet, but we had fun.

Here it is.  This one isn't blurred, it's just out of focus.  The phone either has trouble focusing at these close distances, or you need to try telling it where to focus; i.e., getting the picture framed and tapping the point to focus on (or whatever the process is on your phone), then take the picture.  But like I said, it's tricky.  I've been through much trial and error on this.

Edit:  I never know if, or how well, this is going to work on the site, but click to enlarge.  This one opens a separate window for me, and it's quite a bit larger.  And yet the file is no larger than anything else we post here.  Go figure.

I like this photo of Thatch very much.

I'm up, I'm up - nine hours of sleep - didn't fall asleep until three-thirty and now I must get everything started - the jog is in question since it's so late.

I am watching a battle for possession.  I got a new Amazon box today, and Annabelle slept in it earlier.  Now that she's out of it and helping me put CDs away, Thatch climbed in.  Well, she dropped me, attacked him, and they are now fighting over who can climb into a carton.

I am wrapping a few stocking stuffers.  A couple of them are for a cat or two.

Happily, my shopping trip to Shop Rite was uneventful.  It wasn't quite as frantic as it has been the last several days.

BroadwayWorld did an article the other day about the three-show TRU Voices musicals series which includes VIVA MAX! written by Skip, DR-emeritus Julie, and me, based on Jim Lehrer's novel, directed by Evan Pappas:

Great news, Fred.

Break a leg vibes to Skip, Julie, and Fred~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I thought about stopping at Walgreen's, but I couldn't think of anything I needed.
