Well, you've read the notes, the notes looked back, and now it is time for you to post until the looking back cows come home.

Tom Rolla, whose Gardenia club I've been going to since the early 80s, has passed away.  I'm told the club will continue with hostess Nichole, who's great, assuming management duties.  I venture to say that there would be no cabaret in LA without Tom.  He was a great guy who could be very difficult, but never with me.  I did my one and only club act there for six years straight, directed several acts that played there, and of course began the Kritzerland shows there - we did fifteen of them before moving to a larger venue.  I know this made Tom unhappy, but we had to do it.  He tried everything to get me to stay, but I knew we had to have more room.  I saw him several times after that - sometimes he was cool to me, but other times it was just like old times.  I'll miss him.

Very busy day today.  Getting the house in shape for the housecleaners tomorrow is the most time-consuming part.  And I have to do a couple of things related to the show for our closing weekend.

Which reminds me, because of our final performance I'll be very late getting to the Rockin' New Year's Eve Par-tay.  I think I should be able to get here a little before our balls start to drop, but probably not by much.

Great health vibes to our DR Elmore!

Now that he's got those kitties almost well, they're probably wondering what they'll do about him.  :)

WiFi is terrible at our hotel in Victoria Falls, in fact we cannot get it in our room at all.

The hotel is nice, except for the WiFi and the fact dinner is not served until 7:00 And we are tired.

The small town is, of course, filled with tourist shops.  As we walked down the streets we were constantly harrassed by people trying to sell their wares.  The problem is that they don't accept no for an answer.  It is not as bad as Maputo was.

TOD 1:

My trip to New York to meet many a HHW member, current and past, plus the chance to see and hear The New Yorkers. It was great being back in the city.

Since there is a $30 fee every time you go to the falls we are waiting until tomorrow.  Tomorrow afternoon we have a 4:00 sunset cruise.

I was inside a shop when Keith called me.  By the time I made my way to him I had missed a pair of warthogs walking down the street.  He was not able to photograph them.

DR John you would like the spicy coated peanuts served us at the bar.  I am only eating them because I need food with my wine.

DR Jennifer, or anyone, do you have a magnetic bookmark?  I have seen a few of these.  They look interesting.  They have been ok but nothing special to look at so far.

I do have a few of these.

If I still using bookmarks and looking for a practical one I would have purchased it, but it wasn't very pretty.

T.O.D.

Certainly the highlight of my year was working with five terrific actors, via e-mail, telephone and Skype, in adapting 5 more of my one-person plays onto audio.

(Clark) GABLE
(Carole) LOMBARD
(Spencer) TRACY
(Errol) FLYNN
(Basil) RATHBONE

The FLYNN and RATHBONE actors reside in the UK.

I haven't had that much fun for years.

Along with ORSON WELLES and CLARA BOW, that makes 7 of my one-person plays now on audio.

The audios are available for download on audible.com, Amazon and iTunes.

I've been up for about an hour.  I need to clean the litter and go back to bed.

I took a long hot bath, which was nice, then phoned Joshie.
