Tomorrow we drive to the Chobe Game Lodge in Botswana.  Our mornings will begin with 6:00am safaris.

Once again I have no idea if we will have WiFi, or if I will have time to post.  Of course I will make every effort to do so.

My work laptop has gone bonkers today, when I had not an ounce of patience.

Well, $177 dollars later, Neve's appointment went well.  There is less gunky build-up in her ears, and much less puss and infection!  The vet wants me to continue with the ear ointment, so I'll probably just use what I have left.  She took blood for an overall test (I forget what she called it), and probably early next year, I'll pay for the feline HIV test.  That's at least $180, just for the test.  The vet didn't mention Neve's teeth, so sometime next month, I'll ask again.  Dealing with that certainly won't be cheap. :P

But Neve is home and ate heartily as soon as I put out some fresh food. :)

Topic of the Day:

In my CD player at work:  Michelle Nicastro's "Reel Imagination," then the brand new 2-disc limited special edition soundtrack to "Close Encounters of the Third Kind"

On my DVR:  lots of stuff...too many to remember ::)

In my Blu-ray player:  something, I'm sure.  We'll see when/if I take the time ;)

DR George, welcome to vet costs!

Annabelle no longer has her respiratory infection but her chronic sneezing has the vet concerned,  So, she's now on the same anti-bacterial oral medication Thatch is on for his conjunctivitis.  His rounds finish up this Tuesday.  Hers goes on till the end of the week.

DR GINNY the snow started here about 90 minutes ago.  They are calling for 1-3 inches.....but it seems like there may be more.  It is a very fine and slick snow....so BE CAREFUL.

Enjoy.  I saw it a couple of years back. The music is good,so is the cast. I think the script went south after a few hours, if I recall.

Watching Bergman's The Magician. I haven't seen this in at least 35 years. It's wonderful. It's like all of Bergman's favorite themes in a comedy that's both light and dark. I can't tell yet if he's laughing at himself or who.

And the very young Bibi Andersson is stunning.

Sue Grafton has died. She only make it through Y in her mystery series.

Certainly the most important blessing for the HHW community in 2017 is Jrand's doing so well!

Oh, no!  I never read any of her books, but several co-workers love them. :(

I liked it very much. I like Poliakoff's work, anyway, and this was a departure for him because it's so music-centric. The music is wonderful. The story held for me; Poliakoff is never predictable and always a bit dark. Definitely worth seeing.

Levi has been nominated for three Robby Awards - one for Marc Ginsburg for Best Actor, one for costume designer Morgan Gannes, and one for the Sherman Brothers for Best Score.  And two Kritzerland shows are up for Best Cabaret.

That's been the best thing that happened today, along with one horrible thing to deal with and the rest of the day has been fine.  And warm.
