And a happy birthday to former dear reader Arnold M. Brockman, who lives on Facebook now and not even there all that much.

Regarding the cloak and dagger stuff in film.  Recalling the film A BEAUTIFUL MIND:

SPOILER IF YOU'VE NEVER SEEN "A BEAUTIFUL MIND"

I'd thought the screenwriter had gone nuttily commercial when the cloak and dagger stuff started in that film.

Of course, it turned out to be a delusion, as the movie then revealed!  I was dazzled then.

My sister was the screaming teenage Beatles fan in the 1960s. I liked a lot of popular music, but that phenomenon did nothing for me at the time, or even through college years. I began to enjoy listening to them in subsequent years, partly due to getting familiar with the White Album in conjunction with the book Helter Skelter with which I was a bit obsessed for a while. As an adult I've come to appreciate the bulk of their work to a much greater extent via the now-available reconstructed original mixes, none of which had ever been heard by us back in the day.

Annabelle and I made our patrol and she met the lesbians with the dog on the fifth floor. I had met one of them in the past walking the dog, and they're both really lovely ladies.  Annabelle was thrilled to be praised and petted.  Then she made me chase her up to the fifth floor, then she let me catch her, put her on my shoulder, and ride on the elevator to our floor.  I'm pondering breakfast and Thatch is begging for some deli turkey.

Well, it's off to the Macaroni Grill again today!  I went with my friends Dennis and Carol yesterday.  I had tentative plans today with my friend Dan and I thought we would probably go to Uno Pizzeria.  He's actually said he doesn't like Macaroni Grill so I never thought he would suggest that.  But his friend Steven is going and I guess it was his idea.
