Can you imagine I've had this beautiful Ella Does the Complete Songbooks box in my closet in the other house since it came out and I never played any of it except some Rodgers and Hart when I was putting together that Kritzerland show? I gotta tell you. I can't remember what this cost when it came out around 2004-ish, but the cheapest copy on Amazon is $250 used - the only new copy is $700.

Just checked eBay - copies can be had really cheaply there - one for 130 bucks for 16 CDs. But I was wrong about when it came out - 1993 - but I don't think I got it that long ago - pretty sure I got it when I moved to the Studio City house in 2004. I wonder if there have been newer, better masters, although this sounds pretty good to me. I know DCC did at least some of these as gold discs, but those go for more than this entire set. If these were remastered for the Verve Originals series, I might get one just to see the difference.

I know what you mean, Jennifer. And even if I'm rinsing something out in the bathroom sink, I never trusted myself to leave it running while I left the room, like if the phone rang or something, I'd turn the water off before walking out. That was even when I was in my 20's!

I admit to walking away but never far. With my crappy hearing now no way can I leave the room.

Apparently, there WILL be another season of GRANTCHESTER, but James Norton will only be in one episode, as he bows out to a new lead. Norton is a very hot property these days and said he wasn't able to fit another season of GRANTCHESTER into his schedule. I'm glad PBS has decided to continue the series and I hope to like it as much as I have in the past. Won't air until 2019.

Jane, I saw my therapist, Erik, yesterday and asked him what he knew about CBD (cannabis) oil. He said that it should be fine, but that cannabis can change the DNA of one's offspring. I had never heard that. As I don't plan to have any children it won't affect me. My acupuncturist, who is also a nutritionist, doesn't seem to have any objections to it.

Grubhub vs Uber Eats:
I've never used Uber Eats, but I have used Grubhub a few times. GH has both a delivery fee and a minimum, both of which vary from eatery to eatery. I found an Indian restaurant nearby that has no delivery fee and a relatively low minimum. They are also happy to deliver without the GH intervention, so that's what I now do--I just order from their online site.

George, is this how Uber Eats works, too?
