I love all of Ella's songbooks, but none more than the Porter. It was the first and some have knocked the sound or the haste of the production, but I don't care. Let her sing Ace in the Hole, and I'm happy.

Stumble-through was really fun - one major lyric blow-up but only because I threw a new version at the singer yesterday - he'll be fine. And one of our performers had a migraine so took it easy, but her taking it easy was still hilarious and great.

I'll be traveling a large part of next week. I had to get to Florida at some point soon, and was happily able to time it so I'll be able to spend some time with my mom on her 90th birthday on Tuesday the 3rd. Then, a young cousin in Dallas, Pennsylvania turns 1 and there's a party on Saturday morning, so I'm thinking I'll go and stay over Friday night rather than take the bus early Saturday morning. When I was younger, I'd have done it back and forth in a day, but dealing with the Port Authority crowds and lines for the bus can be stressful, in a way that the trains from Penn Station (like going to Baltimore or D.C.) almost never are. The train doesn't go to Dallas, PA, unfortunately.

I'll be in New York Thursday, though, so i should be able to do the really important things like ketchup on HHW.

Not in the lobby. The concessions counter was kept open during the show so that we could sell to the vendors that were set up all throughout the lobby. I got to watch a few people from the lobby monitor, though.
