Well, you've read the notes, the notes were Eyetalian, and now it is time for you to post until the Eyetalian cows come home.

Today, I'm taking my niece to the Skyline Drive-In to see Ocean's 8.  Because of her hearing issues, she can't go to normal movies, but at this drive-in, you use your own radio and she can control the volume.

The first movie that's being shown is Adrift that neither of us wants to see, but we need to get there when it opens to get a good spot.

And I don't think you pay any less if you only come in for the second movie, so we'll watch both movies.

It's too damned hot.  I slept quite poorly.  I turned off the AC around 10, went to bed, and I could not get to sleep.  Thatch crawled in with me around 12:30.  He slept well.  I did not.  I think Annabelle's been teaching him how to take over 90% of the bed.  Around 5:00 this morning, I turned on the AC.

I remember bits of one dream: my brother Randy, my actor friend Time Winters, the late Loyce Martin, and others were at a party in Middletown, OH.  Randy and I were discussing when we should pick up the pizza we ordered.

When my mother died in 1994, my dad made everything belonging to her into a shrine.  Much as my brothers, sisters-in-law, and I, as well as others, suggested he get rid of things, he was quite resistant.  In the 1970s or early 1980s, she drove this Cadillac.  I drove it occasionally when I returned to visit, but by 1994 it was on its last legs.

The car sat in my dad's garage until he died, then Randy put it in his garage until they moved a couple of years ago.  He then set it out on a patch of their large lawn in hopes someone would purchase it.  Several weeks ago, I had to have the title notarized as executor for my dad's estate since there was finally an inquiry about the car.  It sold for very little, and Randy sent me an Amazon gift card as my third of the sale.  I spent it all on cat food and litter/

Yesterday afternoon, this adorable kitten, abandoned bu its owner, was dying:  the ACC was in desperate search for someone to rescue it and get it to a vet.  Last night, Magnificat Cat Rescue posted that they had got him too late to a vet and that he would be euthanized.  I was heartbroken, since I have at the moment around $50 to last me until July 18,  and I could do no more than wish it well.  This morning, I found this current state of things from Magnificat on FB:

Back last night from our 8 day Mississippi River cruise from New Orleans to Memphis.  Three hours later, our air conditioner went out...and the temp here in Austin is over 100.

Hopefully, the repair man will be here today.

Very sad stories, Elmore -- both the kitten and the car.

In my dream I was getting up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom or something, and my house was this magnificent century-old mansion which seemed to be in the middle of a city. I decided to walk out back to look around and to see what these people (guests?) were doing (it was still the middle of the night), and I didn't get much farther than the back porches and stone walls and getting a glimpse of the gardens or whatnot before I, sadly, woke up.

That was easier than making a deposit at the bank, very clever.

Greetings from Buffalo Niagara International Airport!     I’m not sure why it’s still “international” since it only serves domestic destinations as far as I know. Maybe there are charter flights to other countries.   There used to be flights to Toronto but not any longer.

I had a nice visit.  On Sunday I met friends at Panera for breakfast.   It was really too hot to do much else later in the day.

Fantastic cruise, but if you have any mobility issues, avoid Graceland.

Then he took me to see his new “ninja academy,”.   If you’ll remember Patrick was a contestant on “American Ninja Warrior” about five years  ago.  The show is so popular that there are places where people can do obstacles such as on the show. .  His is only for children.  They have birthday parties and summer camp.  It seems to be a hit.
