I finished Time Regained, a rather long but fascinating attempt to film Proust's last volume (with a chunk of the previous seven thrown in for good measure). I think the effectiveness of the film depends on whether you've read the book. But Catherine Deneuve, with bee-stung lips, was her usual goddess-like self.

Shoot was quick and fun and then we all went to the Coral Cafe and I had the chicken fried steak again and it was every bit as good as the night before. But I'm satisfied with that dish for awhile now.
