Ushering was interesting. It was for a convention of people who help the mentally ill. I enjoyed some of the speakers’ honesty about dealing with depression, addiction and more.

I found a great way to deal with heartburn and acid reflux. I now keep some alkaline water on hand and drink a small glass (3-4 oz) of it whenever heartburn hits. The conventional advice is to drink water to dilute the acid, but tap water--even filtered tap water--is slightly acid, so it's a less than perfect choice. Alkaline water works much better! Many stores sell it now. My Trader Joe's sells a large bottle of it for $1.50. I find that it helps immediately.

Well, it turns out that my newly discovered uncle and his family won't be getting into town until late this evening, so we all won't meet until tomorrow. I should've been doing some things today, but I didn't want to. I do have to do a little shopping for tomorrow, but I'll do that a little later.
