Watching a rather painful movie called The Lady in Question. It was the first pairing of Rita Hayworth and Glenn Ford, but the star is Brian Aherne. Everyone is supposed to be French, but his accent is more Irish than anything. And the script, based on a French film, is rather contrived.

Listening to a little more of The Year of Magical Thinking. It's been 10 years or so since I read the book. Good to reacquaint myself with it. Such elegance yet such tensile strength in the writing.

Birdy Barnum ripped the covers off his water dish and food dish....so I took them out of his cage.....he was sitting on his swing when I got home.....now he is covered up and ready for sleep.

The store where he lived closed at nine....which is almost three hours ago, so I imagine he is up past his bedtime.....
