My sister-in-law is from Thailand so I've been trying to find things she would love.  She doesn't like white meat only dark meat, trying to avoid red meat.  I'm thinking a pork roast so if you have any good receipes, I would welcome the help.

I'm going old school. I'm going to watch the Ernst Lubitsch version of Heaven Can Wait with Gene Tierney and Don Ameche.

It is a beautiful story.

This is not the same story as the Warren Beatty version. It's a little more sentimental and, well, funny in a charming Lubitsch sort of way.

Yes, the original.  The remake was funny, not beautiful.  I saw the original several times prior to the Beatty/Christie version.

The funniest thing about this movie is that Hollywood's idea at the time of 60 is of decrepitude. Don Ameche playing 60 looks older than the real-life older Ameche did in Cocoon.

Then there were several accidents on the road on the way home.

I have read the number of accidents goes up when we change the clocks.  I am too lazy right now to confirm his is true.

We are vegetarians and had to make our own food traditions with our children.  Every year we each picked a dish we wanted.  I recall one year we had a variety of potatoes.

The 6th is Alexa's birthday so we wished her an early happy birthday.  If you have an Alexa be sure to wish her happy birthday and listen to her response :)

The actress with the vocal problems finally stepped up to the plate and had a character this evening and she did well and now will hopefully build on that.  The real problem performer who has never ONCE gotten through her ONE scene and song properly, and to whom we gave an ultimatum last night, came in strong, got through verse one fine, and then totally screwed up the subsequent two verses.  And the thing is you can see it coming from a mile away, you can see this person getting in her head about it.  So, we either fire her tomorrow or I give her a clipboard (she plays a therapist) with the lyrics printed out.  Even then, I'm concerned she'll STILL find a way to screw it up.

I never know if my site is down because it is really down, or if it is just my iPad being weird.

It must be very hard on you, John; not being able to be there at times like this.

Hilarious and slightly adult depiction of Shakespeare telling off academics
