Last night Annabelle, Thatch and I tried to watch The Holiday, with Cameron Diaz, an actress I can't say I'm fond of, and Kate Winslet, an actress I like.  We hated it and turned it off after 30+ minutes.  Annabelle likes chick flics, but she likes chicks who kick ass.

I love that movie.  I have watched it several times.

I'm up, I'm up - I was up for about an hour at four - but in the end I got a little over  eight hours of sleep.  I still need to catch up on a bit more.

My sister and niece really like this movie.  I enjoyed it.  I really enjoyed Eli Wallach's scenes and storyline.

Today's rehearsal will be all music.  I haven't looked at the music for my song, but I have listened to it on the cast recording a couple of times.  I'll actually look at the music before I go today.  Rehearsal doesn't start until 1:30, so I have a little time.

Well, I need to get out of bed and feed my cat, then myself, then get ready for the rest of the day.

Until later!

I shall shortly be on my way to the theater for the matinee and then to finish mixing the cast album, which hopefully will go quickly.

DR TCB, how did you become involved with a company of amateurs?  What are the credentials of this "director"?

This sounds so ridiculous. Is there nobody who would care who you can talk to?  I would totally say something. Imagine how mad the patrons are going to be if they can't hear the girl.

DR TCB waiting until it's over is the best option.....I have had to hold my tongue until strike on a project or two....

And then I never put myself in the hands of those same folks again.

A predictable, which was fitting for this kind of movie, but pleasant movie.  If I didn't like one of the actresses that would be an issue.  If the ending wasn't

Sunday evening greetings!  I went to church in Dayton with Richard today.  After the service we went to lunch and then to Wright State University for the closing performance of “Crazy for You.”  Lots of Gershwin and tap dancing.  The female lead is from near us and Richard says, “She has a future!”

My weekend of the silent movie is over.

They should have planned on at least two showings, to accommodate the potential demand (this one sold out in a heartbeat) and to better iron out the inevitable kinks in the presentation.

But it was a wonderful experience, and I hope to be involved in more of these.

Tomorrow, when I’m at my computer and not so wiped out, I shall fill in the details and provide some photographic evidence.

We have tickets to see Crimes of Grindlewald  tonight, I hope it doesn't turn into an expensive nap

An expensive nap. The perfect description. I have “so” been there.

And I love that you and Vixdad enjoy the “cons” that mean something to you. Nathan and Kristi are like that when it comes to certain ones.

I only wanted one package and now I have an entire box to overindulge just before Thanksgiving.  I have already gained back all the weight, plus some, that I struggled to put on after my surgery.  Maybe I should freeze a couple of packages.

Back from our matinee - audience wanted to LOVE it - they were ready, willing, and able to laugh and love, but unfortunately certain cast members ongoing inability to be consistent stopped that pretty much in its tracks at the ten-minute mark.  I will be e-mailing the entire cast general notes, and then specific people specific notes.  And I'm really going to be tough with our sound designer because I keep giving the same notes over and over again and nothing changes.  And now we have five days off and I can only imagine what I'm going to come back to, since no one was interested in a pick-up rehearsal, and several cast members said they would not partake of a line-through.  Well, there WILL be a line-through for the principals - and if ONE person from the group that doesn't attend that screws up energy, lines or lyrics, they will RUE the day.  And the one performer who repeatedly mangles my lyrics is going to get it right between the eyes.
