DR TCB it seems the reviewer agrees with the friend of the cute actress playing Virginia.
Of course I am not surprised.
Matinee over and I came right home. The cast did a great job, the pace was great, we had close to forty people, which was much more than I thought we'd have, but like last Saturday evening's audience they sat there like big lumps of dead fish the entire show. At least last Saturday they came alive towards the end of the show. And yet, they came up after and said they LOVED it, it cheered them up and made them feel good. I mean, when I feel good I smile and have fun. I will never ever understand it. Rob Stevens was there to review it (we had three reviewers today) so given the audience I think it's a tough call whether he'll like it or not. His plus one did like it very much (his plus one was also a HUGE Welcome to My World fan - came six times during the run). But the show itself was probably the tightest and most energetic it's been and my cast member who mangles lyrics got them all correct today.
