It has been a good while since we went to a movie theater. If I had been thinking ahead we would have done so on Thanksgiving since we had the entire day before meeting friends in Portland for our 6:30 dinner.

It is just as well I didn't think ahead. My plan was to stay in a hotel in downtown Portland and walk to see a movie. Then we could have had drinks at the hotel before going to dinner with a short drive back to the hotel after dinner. It turned out we didn't need to stay in a hotel to avoid traffic and there wasn't any due to our late traveling times.

A major pet peeve, people who share sad "lost" stories on Facebook WITHOUT checking the status of the lost person or pet first.

First I click on the shared story to see if there is an update. About half the time there is one at the top of the story saying the person has been found, and sometimes that the pet has been found.

If there isn't an update I begin reading the comments where I will usually find one or more people saying "found"

If I haven't succeeded yet I do a google search that often reports "found" be it safe or a sad ending.

All of the above takes only seconds to a few minutes. If I find news I share it with the person that posted on FB. Do they update their post, or delete-NOPE. It is just left there for more people to share

Starting to watch John Boorman's WWII film, Hope and Glory, which has long been a favorite of mine. I remember seeing this in the theater the week it opened and loved every minute of it then.
