I'm up, I'm up - I think maybe I got nine hours of sleep. I was actually in bed by one but couldn't fall asleep, which was irritating. I was up several times during the night due to the amount of liquid I had, and then the phone rang a bunch of times in the morning.

Surprise, surprise, surprise.

You may recall the young couple living in the apartment next door who were soooooo loud, with their frequent little parties and the ineffective building manager who hadn't a clue. They MOVED OUT! I never thought I'd see it. It's quite a bargain to live here, by outrageous LA housing standards. I must not have paid my grapevine dues, as I didn't know until yesterday. I had noticed that He would often leave about 9:30 or 10:00 at night, then return about 30 minutes later. Night after night. I figured he was meeting his dealer. But every night?? Now I know. I have no details, but I hope they found a building with other noisy folks so that they can be themselves, have their friends over, without bothering others. They most definitely bothered us. Some people are just incapable of being quiet.

For the past three hours I have been in computer hell. When I got my first Mac in 2001, my Mac Mecanic set my email up on Netscape, which eventually became incompatible with Macs, so it's now become Sea Monkey. This afternoon I upgraded to the new Sea Monkey (2.49.4) and none of the previous 2.49.3 information transferred with it. Now I cannot access my email and I am screwed, ready for a big breakdown.

I called Apple Care and they were no help at all. I called my Mac Mecanic who now lives in Los Angeles and he's given me his son's number. Now I wait. And fret.
