I'm on the last section of "The Trolley Song" for London, which I'll finish today or tomorrow/  Then I'll begin my choral arrangement of German operetta numbers, "Wien Wien nur du allein," for San Francisco.

Annabelle's quite eager to patrol, so I'm off to patrol the building.

Wein, Wein, nur du allein. Sound like my theme song. (Except I haven’t had any lately.)

Annabelle:  Keeping the building safe.

Except, apparently, from the ghosts. So who ya gonna call?

I LOVE the double reed instruments. But I've never so much as held one. I've always assumed I wouldn't get so much as a single note out of an oboe, let alone its larger brethren.

Not that the single reeds are a walk in the park. I remember trying to get a few consecutive notes out of my sister's Bb clarinet in high school, and it was tough. I can't imagine getting anything out one of the larger saxophones.

Someone asked about Riverdale....

I watched a few episodes of the first season last year.  It's okay....the characters have the names of the folks in the Archie comics, but that's about it.

It's more of a mystery-Scooby Doo type thing...and it is the CW, so you know what to expect.  I haven't watched this year.

I would like to be able to play the violin.  I tried in 7th grade.  While it was fun one must be able to tune their own violin which was beyond my abilities.

This morning Mike's Tech Shop returned my call from yesterday and I had to tell him that I used another service.  He was very nice about it.

I am now on three email servers: Apple, my old SeaMonkey, and G-mail.  I also know now where my emails are stored on my computer library.  Jed recommended that I phase out my SeaMonkey account, keep it as an archive, and move to my G-mail account, which was set up ion 2007 or so by our former DR JoseP.

I have placed a reservation on the first season of Riverdale. There was only one hold ahead of me.

I now need to get through Kingdom Hospital. I'm on episode six. It's getting freakier with every episode. A beheaded corpse just went to claim its head.

I would hope so.  You still might use him in the future and it did take awhile to get back to you.

Criterion is having a 50% off sale on its web site today. I got the new double-disc True Stories set and Hitchcock's Notorious. I could watch that latter movie as much as Casablanca.

Also, everyone who pre-ordered the book got a really good deal - because the page count is higher in this one, the price went up - I didn't know that until now, so price is going up tonight on our site - so, if you want it for twenty-five bucks now would be a good time to order.

T.O.D.

I play at the piano (when the keys are marked), but I would like to learn to play it well.

Ditto.  I took piano lessons through middle and high school and a little bit in college, but I never mastered the art.  I'd love to be even a little better.
