DR Elmore's dreams have been particularly prolific of late. There was one (I think yesterday) that would surely have short-circuited the Dream-O-Matic 6000. Mine run in spurts, and I had a short run of good ones a couple of weeks ago. They've been quite vague over the past week or so.

I had one more last night.  While Annabelle and I were riding the elevator on patrol I looked down at my shoes and remembered it because part of the dream was about polishing my shoes.  In the dream I had agreed to come to Troy, NY and cook for my Italian friends an Italian dinner.  Part of the dream dealt with getting to Troy and reading a road map.

I had one of those dream-trigger occurrences a few days ago. The TV was on and somebody said something about milk. WHAMMO! That instantly brought back a dream I'd had that morning in which I was sitting at a table with someone, I was eating cereal, and I was telling the other person (whoever it was) how delicious the milk in cereal could be. Mind you, I hadn't thought about cereal, or milk, or anything related, in months or years. But there it was. I had the dream, it disappeared upon my waking up, and someone on the TV says the secret word. I'm always amazed at that.

DR jan, I had enjoyed BK's postings on Home Theater Forum, and I eventually figured out that I should come here.

As a side note, I'd lived in L.A. (Hollywood, Beverly Hills, West L.A., Redondo Beach) during much of my twenties and thirties, and it amazes me to think how close I must have come to crossing paths with BK then, at movie openings and such.

And as a side note to that side note, after I'd been here for some time, DR Jane and I discovered we'd both been at Heifetz's last public appearance in the early 1970s.

I have shaved and reset the two clocks that needed resetting - stove and microwave.

Yesterday I went to the Barns at Wolf Trap---https://www.wolftrap.org/about/venues/barns.aspx

I saw Laura Benanti.  Her mother, Linda Benanti, was supposed to perform with her, but has the flu.  Laura was very funny and sang wonderfully.  She sang a medley from My Fair Lady, in which she's currently starring on Broadway.  Her piano player ( I can't find his name--it's not in the program) was really great.  Laura took a short break and he performed.  He said he likes to combine songs from musicians of different genres, so he chose Dolly Parton and Bach.  He sang "Jolene," along with a little classical thrown in.   He has a very nice voice and was funny too.

It was an amazing night and a dream come true for me as it was the only time I saw him in person.

I have been following the weather in Ashland as we are heading down there tomorrow.  It should be nice when we arrive but then it is predicted to turn crappy again.  Fingers crossed the sun stays shining, especially for Wednesday when I am joining my hiking group.  Keith won't go if it is raining.  I will of course.

I need to pack a lot of extra clothes for this weather.  When we made the plans I suggested to Keith we wait a few weeks.  Now he admits I am right.  I wish he was.

I don't reset any of my clocks the night before anymore.  I always wait until the morning (or afternoon, or even the evening).  I find it easier for my brain to handle it that way. ;)

Today is our first matinee.  Hopefully, no one partied to hard last night!

And now, I need to be off and get ready for my day.

Until later!

And I like resetting my brain the night before, plus then I don't worry about being confused the next morning ;D

Listening to Johnny Mathis.  That part isn't boring.

I got all excited yesterday when it seemed that the financing company had reversed itself on the funding for mobile homes.

I was trying to find a mailing address for Jerry Herman, for my friend Sharry.  For some reason (FATE), it brought me to HHW.  I had never seen a site quite like it...... all these witty and urbane individuals (they havce all left) chatting about the most wonderful subjects.  Broadway... musicals.... Gay men...... bitchy women!!  It was all too wonderful.

Looking for a work number for former DR Penny (I had given her Bruce's home number) I found this site, and on the day he mentioned former DR Susan Gordon.  I probably would not have posted if he hadn't mentioned her.  So, one friend since elementary school combined with two high school friends found me posting here.  I believe it was only the 3rd day of HHW.

Our former DRs were here because of me, and of course Bruce.

I like to change my bedroom clock and my main watch the night before. Then I see the next morning which things did not change themselves. :)

My cell and my tablet are the only ones I have that change automatically.  I've noticed that my tablet doesn't change when we are traveling.  I kind of like knowing what time it is at home so that is ok.

The chances of this being the last time adjustment in Washington is a big possibility.  If so I hope Oregon does the same otherwise it will be very confusing for people who live in one state and work in the other.

Visitors have left - and loved The Umbrellas of Cherbourg - which is simply a perfect motion picture.

Listening to the London cast album of Bye Bye Birdie - oh dear Lord the kids in The Telephone Hour are completely irritating - unlike the B'way cast album.  And listening to these Brit kids feeble attempts to sound American - a total and hilarious fail.
