And the Ohio property is listed again!
https://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/5744-St_Middletown_OH_45005_M43784-09407?view=qv

You can see what's left of the old driveway at the bottom right of the photo and the widened State Route 122, done around 2008.  The cars are parked in the old driveway to the farm land.  At the top of the photo you can see the new hospital.

Great photo - did they use a drone to take it?

Hope it sells ASAP!

GOOD LUCK and BEST REAL ESTATE VIBES on this one, DR Elmore!

That’s just across 75 from where DR Ginny and Richard and I met and ate. (Right?)

That's right, DR ChasSmith!  And the hospital you see in the background is where we were this morning.

Yep.  One of these vehicles in the driveway might be Randy's since he was there when they scanned the property.

That land was evaluated at $675,000 in 2007 when we paid the estate taxes, and we could have sold it but I had two brothers who wanted more for it.  It still rankles.  I hope we can get at least $300,000 for it.

Do both brothers (or either of them) acknowledge that it was a mistake to wait and let a Great Recession start and no doubt other stuff happen in the local area that changed the picture? Do they still dream that it's ever going to be 2007 again?

Macbeth and I do not speak; I blame him and Lady M for their greed and pushing Randy around.  At this point both brothers want to get rid of the property.  We're all sick of paying taxes, but I still let Randy know the mess is on their hands for their mishanfling of the whole thing.

No word about picking up Thatch yet.  Annabelle wants dinner and I will not feed her till Thatch is home.

The evil ones in these cases, it seems, just don't care.

Can you give her a small treat, or will that not help?

There is a nice side table down the street out for collection....I think it would look good on the FLOWERS set....I think I shall walk down there and get it.

Jrand, you should come to my 'hood. All sorts of stuff is put out at the curb, most of it still usable. Lots of renters here and when they move they often toss rather than bother moving things.

And it's a Postmates person who does the delivering, not the restaurant's employee.

How is Postmates different than Grubhub or one of the other food delivery services? They charge a service fee, yes?

I saw Erik, my therapist, today to try again to undo this whiplash. The last time he worked on me I ached to no end the next day. I strongly suspect that that will be the case again, although Erik doesn't think so.

I then went across the street to my favorite food store. They have very good prepared foods. I bought enough to get me through the next couple days. Better safe than sorry.

By the time I got home I was already aching. I'm definitely in couch potato mode now.

I can't recall the last time I ate fried chicken--or friend chicken, for that matter. I've been a vegetarian since my early twenties and don't recall chicken ever being a favorite.

Vibes of comfort to DH Richard.

Thank you, DR Jeanne.  I just left him alone for an hour or so to go to a brief DAR meet-up at the nearby coffee shop.  He survived.

I have another paint nite tonight.

Have a good time!

This prompted a memory that my mother and Aunt Jenny took a ceramics class in the 1960s.

I can remember going with my mom to ceramics classes in the 1970s.

Neve certainly is a lovely cat, as well.

Thanks, Jrand!

I'm glad you were able to fix your phone, DR George. I believe that Staples repairs phones, but I have no idea what it would cost. Investing in a few tools is often worth it, IMO.

I always picture DK Neve as a dark charcoal color. Don't know why.  Her marmalade color is very nice.

I agree with Matthew on Popeyes over KFC (don’t tell my Kentucky peeps). Surprisingly, I like McDonald’s buttermilk chicken strips.

I like those, too. :) I also really like Dairy Queen's Chicken Strip Basket.  Yummy!

In Lacey, there's a Long John Silver's/KFC combo place and got what was supposed to be two pieces of fish and three pieces of chicken.  I literally couldn't tell them apart. :o They were the same size and shape, AND the same kind of texture that didn't seem like either fish or chicken.  It was really weird, so I've never been back.

I would just like to remind everyone that there's at least ... one (1) person here who has never had a Skip friend <tm> chicken.

Depraved on account of I'm deprived.

Definitely more than one.
