Our weather has been crazy, but last night turned into one of those rare perfect times ideal for sleeping under the covers with a window opened ... just enough. There was — still is, actually — the most beautiful cool gentle wind out there, and it will be great to thoroughly air the house out today.

Yesterday I received the keyboard patches for Disaster! and got them loaded into MainStage. Today I’ll go through the book thoroughly, make sure there are no issues, and we’ll be ready to roll. Reading and sitzprobe are still a week off.

I've got the next four days to write the 92nd Street Y charts, so I may be E&T on occasion.

Last night, while we watched a Midsomer Murders episode - we're on season 18 now - Stella kept eating my popcorn.

I think we have now reached the tolerance phase:  Annabelle and Thatch, depending on their mood, either play with her or ignore her.  When they tire of her, they run away.  Thatch has begun to correct her, and Stella seems to be learning that playtime is not all daytime.

BK, congrats on the reader announcement! Diana Canova sounds like a great choice, for all the reasons.

But all daytime should be playtime. Right?

TOD:

I’m sure I will be listening to Hamilton before Sunday’s performance.

I need to watch Agnes Varda’s Vagabond, which is due back at the library soon. I also have the new Shoah, which I think is subtitled Four Women.

I put the laundry into the washers.  When I came up, little Thatch was in a "show me you love me" mood so we cuddled, he was rubbed down, scratched, and profusely petted, and he gave me little Thatch kisses.  What a distance in attitude we've crossed in his 19 months here!

DR FJL I think I read a story about how Mr Steve Guttenburg was cast in CAN'T STOP THE MUSIC.....which was the same reason he was on the Merv Griffin Show many times....perhaps DR MICHAEL can share the T with us.....

Seeing as how we're having a quiet moment here, I would like to report that I just ate two beautiful sunny side up eggs, each laid upon a slice of Russian Rye toast with a German/Pennsylvania-Dutch-inspired slathering of Hellman's mayo and splicy brown mustard.

Can you say:  flavor?

DELICIOUS.

I had a friend whose roommate was Mr Guttenberg's cousin, and I gather she too was a casting couch auditioner.
