Jane, I postponed the move because I was giving myself a nervous breakdown, for no good reason.  I have until the 15th of June to be out, so why push it?

That's a good reason to postpone, Tom. :)

Here's some good news from the Supreme Court front:  Supreme Court rejects anti-transgender bathroom case & leaves inclusive policy in place!

"It took a panel of federal appeals court panel of judges 15 minutes to unanimously rule in favor of transgender people. It didn't take long for the Supreme Court to agree either."

I finished my work around 10:30 last night.  Annabelle kept trying to help me, and I kept removing her from my work table.  Did she take the hint?  Frankly, no.

This morning, after our patrol, I will assemble the books, look over my work, and maybe do some adjustments.  I need to put together my work kit of blank paper, tape, pens, scissors, rulers, and correction tape for any fixes or anty new things that come up.  I'll leave the kit there until we've finished the rehearsals.

Our rehearsal at the Y begins at 2:00, so I'll leave here around noon, stop at Time Warner and pay my cable bill, and then take the crosstown bus to the Y/  I told Rob I would be there around 1:00.

DR John G, I hope your good news is really good news.  I have to wait until our producewr gets back from work to hear what's going on with Moonshine and Mistletoe.

DR TCB, you've got a little over two weeks to accomplish your move.  Take your time and take it easy.

Stella and Thatch are playing a lot this morning.  Annabelle came down from the bookcases long enough to use the litter and then returned, passed up breakfast, and I hope she's not feeling jealous.

Patrol is over.  It was held up by two things: Annabelle's tardiness in getting to the door - she's usually eager to set out - and Stella's running out the door and down the hall/  As soon as I caught her, Annabelle went on patrol.  Now that we're back, a hungry Annabelle is eating Stella's food, which Thatch did earlier as well.

Do you remember the story of Austin?  When I read the report in April on this blind dog, I decided to adopt him, and I made inquiries to the Manhattan ACC about him.  He was on a Dept. of Health (which calls the ACC shots) hold for nipping an ACC volunteer who approached him unaware and frightened Austin.  I told the ACC that once he was released from the hold, he would need an adopter and I was interested.  The next email from the ACC told me they had "humanely euthanized" him.  He was one more of the ACC's covert silent kills.  I posted Austin's photo on Facebook and mentioned my attempt to adopt him.  Since then, I have become an "experienced rescuer"(!) and an attorney trying to help with ACC reforms sent me endless messages yesterday about signing an affidavit about the ACC's refusal to my numerous requests!  I told her I'd only sign an affidavit that didn't exaggerate my involvement.  She refused.
