I hope that Vixmom and Vixdad are holding up.

And, yes, major recovery time is in order.

I did some laundry and some cleaning. There's more I should do, but I'm pooped. Where are the elves when you need them?

I am making a chicken pasta salad to take to a family reunion tomorrow....it will probably be my last one....

Reunion that is.

It is my father's side of the family and used to be called the ------ Reunion.  But now that he is gone.....it's named after a loud mouthed family that belonged to his sister.....none of whom I even know or like....

The are the kind who go on Facebook and say something to get everyone mad and stirred up and then announce grandly that they are leaving Facebook FOREVER and screw the family.

And then just as grandly come back about  two weeks later saying it was all a misunderstanding and people (others) should take responsibility for their words and actions.....and they are the same way in real life.

I don't blame you. But will there be any complaints about your absence?

I am sorry.  I hope you enjoy the reunion more than expected.

Laundry in the dryer.

My 4th load for the day is in the washer.  I took a break to get out for a walk earlier.

JRand, I haven't been to the family reunion on my dad's side of the family for almost 50 years. They tried to get me to come a couple of times, but they offered a two-day notice and the trip was always four more states away. I don't miss it.

My lower back is feeling a little better. Tried some dancing this morning, and after about 90 minutes, it was time to give it a rest.

But it's time for social dancing tonight. Maybe it'll be better.

Two day notice!  That is insulting.

Back from a really fun lunch with Peyton and her mom.  Barone's, of course.  But, as sometimes happens with the day chef, the scampi was pretty bad and lacking a shrimp.  Not going there in the daytime again.

Jane, I heard from a friend who just returned from the Alaska cruise on Celebrity Cruises. He said they were REALLY pushing to get people to spend as much money as possible, both the cruise line and the onshore merchants. I've cruised Celebrity and thought it was one of the better lines. Have you have problems like that?

Ah, fireworks season has just officially begun.

It just got dark on the Friday of what you might call the first of two Fourth of July weekends, and the People were ready.

It is why we prefer an all inclusive ship.  I don't mind the sales in the shops, this item then that item & at certain times. It is on the entertaining side.  What I mind is the constant push to buy the drink package.  We don't drink enough soda & the alcohol I like is more expensive & not included in the package. We took one Celebrity cruise & it was most annoying.   I suspect all the larger ships are like this now.  When we took our first cruise on Princess, when Bryan graduated high school, soda was always free.

We are looking at a small excursion trip to the Galapagos on Celebrity.  I had forgotten about the constant push to purchase the drink package.  I suspect though a small ship will be different than a big ship.

There’s a lovely picture of the new VixCouple on FB that I don’t know how to post here while on the iPad, in case someone can grab it before I get to it later.

In other news, the call-in interview with Monique Vermont was charming. I don’t know if they archive these things, and I’m sorry I didn’t think to record it.
