Monday evening greetings from HOME!!!  We had a smooth drive from Morgantown and even got to the post office to pick up our mail with 5 minutes to spare.

Oh! I meant to ask last night:  Where did you stay in Morgantown? Just curious. I love the place, but that originates with our family history there.

I also really like the drive from Hagerstown on I-70 and I-68, and I marvel to think that our family was making that drive on the old US 40 during the 1950s.

DR ChasSmith, we stayed at a Holiday Inn Express out by the airport.  I navigated us on a little drive through town on our way out and even managed to recognize some things from time I spent there between the mid-1960s and mid-1980s.

I also love the drive between Morgantown and Hagerstown.  Richard and I have now done it 3 times eastbound, but yesterday was our first westbound drive.

Bank was quick, went to Staples early, chose what I wanted, purchased, and helper is on her way here now, rather than going to Staples.  Thanks to dear reader George for mentioning the Eco Tank printer - I'd seen one a year ago, but apparently they JUST got in the new models two weeks ago and they've fixed certain things - all I know is goodby $120 ink cartridges every three months.  The bottles that come with this last two years and then replacements are under twenty bucks.

This will likely be the next printer we purchase, hopefully not for a good while yet.

DR George, good news about David.

I know!  I might go up this weekend to visit and possibly see a Mariners game.  He works at the stadium and can get me in for free.  And if he's working during a game, I can get half-priced food!

That certainly makes it worth the trip, aside from supporting him.

And today's bad news: that damned check mailed last Monday has still not arrived.  I am not happy.

Really good plate of tacos al pastor with nopales (strips of cactus sautéed with tomatoes), borracho beans, rice, an ice cold beer and a hot green sauce.

I went to Costco. For the first time ever, and I’ve been a member for more than 15 years, there were no fresh blueberries. They were the reason I went.

One advantage of having an excellent postman is that we can comfortably have all of the mail delivered the day we return.  It helps having nice indoor mail boxes.  If there is too much mail he simply puts it into a larger box for packages & leaves the key in our mailbox.

Darn!  I hate it when that happens!

I bought one of those. And a large bag of almonds.

I also bought most of the ingredients to make the pimento cheese with. The red peppers have roasted. I'm just waiting for them to cool down in their paper sack.

I rarely eat whole almonds, mostly I toast slivered almonds.

A body has been found in the river.  The rescue boat is out there now.  A neighbor suspects they are waiting for the police to arrive before it is pulled out.  I have feared the missing man was in the river as his bike was found near the beach :(
