Sat on my couch like so much fish for a while, but didn't watch anything.  Listening to interesting music.

Interview vibes for DR JOHN G.

Thank you. The job is down to Krista and me. Krista is essentially my work wife. She's also been doing the job for much of the past three years, except for her maternity leave. As my boss told me at the end of the interview, we're both different. Krista and I both can do the job and we both can do it well. She'll have an answer by the end of next week.

Good luck John,  vibes that you two can maintain your friendship no matter who ends up in the position

George,

A friend of mine is trying desperately to get a can of this beer...even just an empty can.

Apparently the Matchless brewery is located in Tumwater.

Is there any chance you would be able to find one?

I can PayPal the money for the beer and shipping

I've never heard of this.  I'll have to look and ask around.

I had a  very thorough exam at the oncologist this morning  and I was given the all clear and an appointment for next year.

Excellent and a perfect anniversary gift.

Shipping alcohol might be problematic.  If you can find a can I suggest reading the best way to ship it.

I didn't realize the job was between you and Krista.   I hope that isn't awkward, especially if Krista has already been doing the job.

Well, I just finished listening to the sixth symphony of a Finnish composer called Aulis Sallinen - I liked his music very much when I first heard it in the 1970s but I never got any of it on CD - so there was a cheap box of five CDs of his symphonies and concertos.  I've been enjoying each of the symphonies - they're quite unique, voice-wise and texture and color-wise, but very tonal without ever being old-fashioned.  But the sixth - it totally bowled me over and has become an instant favorite and one I'll be returning to a lot.  I love discoveries like that.

They do have a website (https://matchless.bevv.com/), but they don't list the Kermit beer.  They're literally down the street from where I live and work, so tomorrow I can go there and see what they have.

His surgery was on the artery that runs up the neck to the brain.  It was 90% blocked

They removed this two inch blockage that looked like a giant bloody cotton ball.

And I'm listening to the last of the Sallinen pieces in this box set, a violin concerto.  I love this guy.  I gather he's most known for his operas, which I'll have to seek out on the Tube of You.
