Lase night we saw Julie Andrews and her daughter Emma at Temple Emanu-El. Emma interviewed her mother using questions that the audience members had asked on cards distributed before the show. Julie was just what you would want her to be--warm, gracious, funny. We were given a copy of her autobiography ("Home Work"). It's the continuation of her first one, "Home."

Bill Macy has died at age 97. Loved his one line as jury foreman in The Producers: We find the defendant’s incredibly guilty.

Not to brag, but the one time I went to NYC (December 1995), I got to see Julie Andrews live on Broadway in Victor/Victoria.

Julie Andrews' new book looks very interesting....she is a guest programmer late this month on TCM.

For some reason, I don't mind that she is showing three of her own films.....MILLIE and VICTORIA are what I can see from the preview....maybe it's only two.....

I had a completely opposite reaction when Charles Grodin chose one of his own films to show.....
