Jennifer Anniston has 13,000,000 followers on Instagram? WTF?  Who would give that much of a damn?

I've never understood her appeal.

I saw Katy, AKA therapist #2, today. It seems that Erik, formerly therapist #1, feels that he must concentrate on another form of therapy, which doesn't preclude me from seeing him, but he will have a new (higher) price structure. It just feels like it's time to say adios to Erik. I think Katy will now be therapist #1.

I then indulged in more enchiladas, which I think was the third time this week.  ;D

Then a stop at the always-busy Trader Joe's, which was mobbed!

Are people hungrier today than most days? Having guests this weekend? Early Thanksgiving/Christmas shopping? Trader Joe's doesn't sell Halloween candy so it's not that.

Speaking of candy, Jane, have you tried Moonstruck Chocolates? They're based near you and what I've read of them sounds very appealing.

Vixmom, I have some bad news.  I went to the Matchless Brewery and asked about the Easy Being Green Ale.  It turns out that it was a limited run that ended about three weeks ago, and they don't have any plans to make any more.  I guess they have a lot of these limited run microbrews, and if you snooze (or don't find out until it's too late), you lose. :-\

"As he tears his own flesh, he glories in his agonies."

Sample lyric in Die Meistersinger. I'm so glad this is a comedy.

The Dining Adventure was really fun and the food was incredible - Langer's Delicatessen, best anywhere.  An amusing thing happened just before our final guest arrived, but I'll talk about that in the notes.

I had my usual number one, which is their famous number 19 without a slice of Swiss cheese - the pastrami (lean) with cole slaw and Russian dressing - absolute perfection.  We shared some potato pancakes and had kishka, but I was so full by the time that arrived that I didn't even eat one bite, and Marshall's and my friend Henry took it home.

Julie Andrews' new book looks very interesting....she is a guest programmer late this month on TCM.

For some reason, I don't mind that she is showing three of her own films.....MILLIE and VICTORIA are what I can see from the preview....maybe it's only two.....

I had a completely opposite reaction when Charles Grodin chose one of his own films to show.....

Interesting you had a different reaction.  I would hope the artist have interesting insight or trivia to add to their films.

John G, both you and Krista have been doing the "new" job and it is acknowledged that you both are quite competent at it, but neither of you have been getting paid at that level? Or there will be only one job where there once were two?

THere will be one job with higher pay and a sort of combined work load. I have been doing my version of the combined work load since Krista went out on maternity leave in February. She's been back since July. The work load has grown, so she's been doing special projects in addition to some of her old duties.

The issue is that we can both do this job -- and we have done the job. Who came off better in the interview? That will decide it.

I like her.  I think she gained a large following due to Brad cheating on her with Angelina.

Finally, I am relaxing and listening to more William Steinberg Beethoven - the 5th and 6th symphonies, mono, but I just think he makes this music more to my liking.  The mono on this one is great - not the case with all of the mono Capitol recordings - recorded in 1952 and 1953.

Finished "Home for the Holidays" and on to "I've Got My Love To Keep Me Warm."

Stella has learned nothing from today's events.

Don't worry. She'll continue to try to train you until you submit to her every whim. Annabelle has led the way.

It sounds like a good move and hopefully Katy will offer something new to help you feel better.

Is installing a bishop anything like installing a water heater?

Fr. Richard says, “No, it’s far more complicated.  Two people can install a water heater and today required a cast of thousands.”

Ha!

Yes and I am not a fan of them.  Bryan first gifted them to me when he lived in Portland & then they were popular in Ashland.

I found Julie's first volume of autobiography to be wonderful. She (or her ghostwriter, I don't know if there is one) is a gifted storyteller. There was a memorable tale about Harrison loudly farting his way through one performance of My Fair Lady. The first five rows were in fits of laughter and she worked hard to keep a straight face.
