I originally typed Three! and realized I had forgotten how to count.

Vixmom, I have some bad news.  I went to the Matchless Brewery and asked about the Easy Being Green Ale.  It turns out that it was a limited run that ended about three weeks ago, and they don't have any plans to make any more.  I guess they have a lot of these limited run microbrews, and if you snooze (or don't find out until it's too late), you lose. :-\

I suggest your friend try ebay.

I’ll suggest it to her

We went to Beaches for dinner tonight.  I splurged and had a rye Manhatton.  Then I splurged & had their delicious fries.  Then I really splurged & had their special, pumpkin cheese cake.  Keith & I think it is great.  Amazingly between us we still left a little which is now in the frig.

Weird day at work. I went to our downtown office and had to cover a 90-minute meeting I wasn't planning on attending. I'm still a little jet lagged, but I managed to stay awake for all of it.

Then my co-workers decided to decorate for Halloween. this was no mean feat. The windows were covered and a haunted house was set up. We're on the ninth floor, so a designer created a logo for Ninthmare on Convent Blvd. Lots of torture devises, severed limbs, skeletons, etc. were hung everywhere.

It was cute, but I just don't get into the Halloween thing. In a way, I'm glad I'll be in Chicago then.

In MY day, Halloween was only a day. Not a season. And it was for kids. Adults didn't make a fuss over Halloween, except to buy candy to give out.

Half Price Books is having their clearance sale this weekend. I went this evening after work and bought a slew of DVDs, everything from the Dirty Dozen to A Fish Called Wanda. I found only a couple of CDs, including a Brahms symphony. I also got a few novels, most for presents.

Then I came home and made a Greek salad for dinner with a negroni on the side.

That is rather extensive decorating.

To my knowledge, I haven’t heard a note of any Sallinen symphony. Me thinks this situation might have to be rectified.

I was thinking that too, but I couldn't find anything when I searched, so I didn't mention it.

Thank you for checking I really appreciate it

My pleasure.  Fortunately, the place was close.  If it were out of town, you'd be out of luck. ;)

Time for me to leave work and head out.  My friend Margo is out of town until Sunday, so I'll need to feed her cats tonight and tomorrow.

Be back later.

I love the sound of this Meistersinger, but it's hard to watch because the picture is so incredible pixilated at times that it's often out of focus.

And I have had some of the fun.  We'll see if this gentleman is dumb enough to argue with either of us.  Won't THAT be fun?  Thankfully, I have all the proof, photos and dates, right at my fingertips for just such an occassion.
