I went to the library to pick up eight reservations I had, only to discover the library book sale going on. I found some wonderful Britten discs that I didn't have. One is called The Canticles, the other is a collection of songs sung by tenor Ian Bostridge. It includes French folk songs, a Sinfonietta and Our Hunting Fathers, which was devised by Auden.

I also found a recording of A Shropshire Lad with music from Samuel Barber and more. Alan Bates does the reading. Anthony Rolfe Johnson sings.

Rehearsal was fun and went so fast that we were able to run all the group numbers again, which was very helpful.  And we still did all that in two-and-a-half hours.

There were library sales all over the damned place here, and if I’d been more free to do so, I would have done a quick walk through each one. It’s just as well that I couldn’t, but man, I wanted to.

DR Laura, sounds as though your worries about Leonard not loving you are over.  I'm very happy.  While I was writing this morning, Thatch climbed up on my work table and marked everything as his territory. Strolled about, jumped down, and climbed back into the cat tree.

I hope your definition of "marked everything as his territory" is not the same as it is to me.  I think of marking as spraying with urine to mark a territory.

That's exactly what I was thinking! :))

I'm watching an episode of Grey's Anatomy from last season (still trying to ketchup) and I'm not interested in this episode. ::) We'll see if I make it to the end.

I've started Amor Towles' Rules of Civility. It's not as good as A Gentleman in Moscow, but it is enjoyable.

If that were the case, I'd be bitching about how he ruined my work. They mark their property by rubbing their cheeks against walls, hands, etc.

The cats have had their treat, I've had my dinner break and cleaned their dishes, and I shall go back and write the last bars of the transition to the final section.

The fact you didn't bitch about that is what gave me hope your definition was head rubbing.  I can tell you the other kind is a nightmare.

Keith bought a large bag of edamame at Costco from the freezer section.  Inside are individual bags you just pop in the microwave for 3 minutes.  I am not enjoying a plate of edamame :)

Picked up some packages, then had a chili, cheese, and onion hot dog, made correctly and therefore excellent, a few fries, then came home to find the iPod is STILL synching.  In ninety minutes it will have been synching for twelve HOURS.  But it's on the final eight hundred songs right now.
