We enjoyed Numero Uno's very much. After we left L.A. friend's would get pizza from there when we visited. We ate at an Uno's (same chain different names), at least I don't think it included the Numero part of the name, in Pennsylvania. It was good but no where near as good at the original in LA though I believe even that wasn't as good as when it first opened.

Other than Skip's homemade pizza, of all places, our high school cafeteria made the most amazing-tasting pizza, and they'd have them packed up in vending machines like an Automat.

Claudio's in our neighborhood is also excellent!

I don't remember La Barbara's pizza. Numero Uno, which is a very specific thing, was great. And in the Bay Cities days, there was a great pizza jernt that Nick Redman's then-wife worked at - Da something, maybe DaVida's - next to the Odyssey record store on Wilshire.

We started going to La Barbara's in high school. It was fantastic.

The earliest pizza place that I can remember going to was Pietro's Pizza when we first moved to Washington. There was a restaurant in Lacey where Fred Meyer is. At the time, there used to be a drive-in theater exactly where Fred Meyer is now, and Pietro's was next to the drive-in.

When I was in high school, my friend Andrew and I would play the computer game Jungle Hunt at Pietro's...long before home computer games. That was our game. It was unusual in that you moved from the right to the left as you jumped over logs and alligators and swung from vines to try and save the girl.

Well, I'm leaving work. My niece needs me to restaple some plastic siding onto her chicken protecting gazebo thing. I put up the plastic siding the first time, but I guess I didn't staple it or put it up carefully enough. Spoo!! So, I'll restaple it.
