Listening to music right now - Leinsdorf (a conductor I love) doing Wagner and Strauss on Capitol in Full Dimensional Sound - incredible stereo.

My sister recently got her Masters in Psychology online....so we are having a commencement ceremony for her on Saturday night.....followed by karaoke - probably not the way they do it at Yale.

Congratulations to your sister.

Our unit has been checked.  If only we couldn't hear every single check throughout the building.

I've had some dinner, and I will turn off the computer and settle in with the new Elaine Stritch biography that a friend sent me.  It was a nice surprise.

I have already counted 21 times that it has gone off, and I have missed a few  ::)

Yikes!! :o I worked with a couple of people (who have since retired) that would complain about these kinds of tests...just for the sake of complaining.  They KNOW that it's only going to last for a short while (and our alarms aren't horribly loud), but they still had to bitch and moan about why it has to happen during work hours, or why it has to happen at all.  Things like that. :P

They were otherwise nice people, but their complaining was almost more annoying than the alarms. ;)

Forty times the fire alarm went off before we could get out of here & go for a walk while they finished the tests.

DR John when you described the new position, the interview, and the differences your approaches to the job, I thought you might be offered the position.

ChasSmith, the sequence is after they bring Bogarde out of the tank.

Yes, when we see outside during the conversation about it being 9 pm, it’s clearly daylight, as is the ambulance scene. It then looks like a gloomy overcast when Bogarde and Ure are walking to the car, and finally it’s more typically day for night (with “moonlight” shadows) during the conversation in the car.

EDIT:  I found your post on HTF and added a comment that that describes what I see on the DVD.

Jane, I take nothing for granted. And how I see things certainly isn't how everyone else sees them.

Funny story.

I got a voicemail from my dance instructor, Esteban, saying that he had just left one studio where he works called Aston's and was on his way to our class. But the transcript didn't know the word Aston's and it said he had just left asses. Duly noted was my response. And maybe TMI.

Tomorrow night is the big fundraiser for the theater where I volunteer. Gladys Knight is the headliner this year. I've always loved her voice. Really looking forward to the show.

And then Friday, there's a special screening of Coco in line with the upcoming Day of the Dead. That, too, should be fun.

The theater is doing something fun while I'm in Chicago. As a fundraiser for the local public TV station, they're hosting a free large-screen simulcast of Kinky Boots. Anybody an come to the party, and maybe some will make a donation. Either way, I expect the crowd will be fabulously attired.

Starting to watch the new film of Mary Magdalene with Rooney Mara. It's not the crap that the Catholic church spread about her having been a prostitute, but it's not much better, as they have her father trying to exorcise her demons by trying to drown her.
