Usually, the waitstaff is busy pushing the endless French fries. Today he never asked if we wanted any more until after he had cleared our plates.

I am rather concerned as Keith may have swallowed part of a toothpick tonight that was in his dinner.
He didn't know it was there but felt something like a toothpick in his throat that finally went down. They confirmed they use a very long toothpick that is pulled out before serving the food. If a piece broke off it could have fallen into his food.
Except fir the half gallon container of ice tea which slipped from my hand hit the concrete drive causing the bottom to immediately split and pour ice tea all over the driveway

So, it seems like a plan is coming together for Dad. He leaves the current place for a nearby facility on Dec. 26. Who knows how much time he has left. He sleeps most of the time, but he was awake enough to talk with me for a moment this afternoon. And he seemed to know who I was.
And it is suppose to be mostly clear and dry thru Christmas Day.
