Monday I got up and went to work, but before I did I put the church linens in the washer

One cool feature this new machine has is a soak feature. You can choose to have the machine stop after filling and let the clothes soak for either 30, 60 or 120 minutes before resuming the cycle.

Very very useful for getting wine stains out of linens.

At lunch time I checked and all the linens were wine stain free at the cycle so I put the linens in to dry

I ended up working until 6 along with my new work friend Deanna so that she didn’t have to stay until 7. Then I popped home and ironed all the linens

Then I went to church to get everything set for Christmas Eve.

When I arrived I saw the bell choir was there rehearsing and while I was polishing, dusting, and setting up I was able to listen to their lovely hymns. Before I finished the brass choir arrived and I was treated to Hark the Herald Angels and Joy to the World.

Being in the beautifully decorated church and listening to the music finally put me in the right frame of mind for Christmas and I left in a much better mood.

Then I finished grocery shopping and arrived home by 8:30

Thatch has established his home inside the little house on the cat tree. For some reason, whenever I walk by and see him lounging inside it, I think of Walter Brennan!

Christmas morning greetings! We had a lovely day yesterday and a very late night. The four of us went to Richard’s brother’s home for dinner and a visit with Layla, our very articulate 2.5-year-old great niece. We dropped Rob and Mary Linda at their home and proceeded to Springboro for the 10:30 candlelight service at Rev. Amy’s church. She’s our niece, remember, and we sat with her sister and her family. J, the 4-year-old, went to sleep during the sermon.
