Today, I think my family is getting together for dinner, but I'm not sure.  I'll talk to my niece to find out.  She always knows if we are or aren't getting together.

Either way, I'm ushering this evening for Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Christmas Carol.  I'd seen it once near the beginning of the run and enjoyed it.  I'm sure that I'll enjoy it again.

My biggest fear last night was that when I woke today I would be back in the hell that was yesterday morning, and that the paoin meds and muscle relaxers were only temporary.  So far, so good.

Another work day.  I was sure I would finish that chart yesterday, but it was not to be.  Hopefully, I will finish it today.  I need to do laundry today or tomorrow as well.

I’d say BLADE RUNNER didn’t do all that well calling the shots on 2019.

George Orwell, though. Yep.

Off by a few decades, but the principles of that little bedtime tale are there for all to see.

TOD:

There are many 50's sci fi films that are so optimistic about the future.....Queen of Outer Space and CatWomen of the Moon, etc, always have throw away dialog that proclaim that we got to the moon and colonized it by the 1980's and interplanetary travel was commonplace by 1999.

And world peace went without saying....

World Without End predicted a rather dire future for the us and the stated year for the apocalypse has not yet arrived....

Laundry is in the washers.  I went back to bed for a bit, couldn't sleep, so I got up and made the bed.

I got the laundry together, picked it up with my bag of Bounty sheets and Liquid Tide, opened the door, and Stella ran out.  I had to set everything down in the hall, chase her, and return her to the apartment.  I opened the door and Annabelle dashed out and ran to the fourth floor.  I had to chase her, pick her up, and cart her back to the apartment.  Then I went to the basement.
