Well, you've read the notes, the notes were in my mind's eye, and now it is time for you to post until the mind's eye cows come home.

I didn't sleep that well, but I had dreams I remember,  In one I was working with Rob Berman. who was gong to London to work on a revival of the Cole Porter show Jubilee, and I was trying to convince him to use my orchestration and not a new one.

In another, my friend John Bell was rehearsing an orchestra and cast for a concert of Jubilee!  We were trying to cast several roles and failing.

The third dream may nave been a part of my dream about Rob Berman and London, but it was about the Rodgers & Hart show Dearest Enemy.  I was watching video of the 1925 production and listening to recordings of the Australian production.

This morning, Thatch and I will attempt another vet visit for his annual checkup and shots.  I have the carrier in the bathroom, and around 8:45 I will attempt to stuff him into it.  This could be grisly.

My former Mac man has moved to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career.  I've sent his son, who's living in Brooklyn, a FB message about the iTunes downgrade.  I would like to get this accomplished ASAP.

DR Laura's advice worked.  Thatch is in the carrier and really pissed off.  I have one bleeding scratch to bandaid and we are off!

I just read that Orson Bean has been killed in a car accident in LA last night. Apparently he was hit by two cars while walking.

Orson Bean!  Oh my....I didn't even know he was still with us.  I enjoy him on the ILLYA DARLING! cast CD - from Kritzerland - but when I was a young person watching TV, I thought he was the MOST annoying panelist on the quiz shows.  This is especially true of TO TELL THE TRUTH where he was a regular.....ANNOYING!!!  I don't want to use the word insufferable, so I won't.

I did not know he was married to Alley Mills - who played the mom on The Wonder Years (and currently on The Bold & The Beautiful)...

As soon as I carried poor little Thatch out of the apartment he began to cry.  By the time the taxi let us out at City Vet, he was in the feline equivalent of a fetal position with his tail wrapped tightly around his body.  He stopped crying, but I knew he was terrified.

When we got to Dr. Mohr's office, I opened the carrier to let him out, but he refused to move.  I lifted hinm out through the top access and he jumped back inside.  When Dr. Mohr showed up, we went through questions I had.

Thatch now weighs 10 lbs.
His temperature was normal.
Both eyes show signs of conjunctivitis, so I have some terramycin for his eyes.  Dr Mohr suggested I wait till tomorrow to begin it since he's been through a lot today.
He has his shots and his claws were trimmed.
The worst news?  He's developed gingivitis since last year's checkup, and I need to have a thorough dental checkup on him as soon as I can afford it.

Now that he's home and his panic is over, he's been rubbing against me, so I guess I'm forgiven for his ordeal.

I'm dedicating this orchestration of "Loving You" to my golden boy Thatch.

Sad story about Orson Bean. I, like JRand, originally knew him from game shows and found him far from amusing. Way far. But I love him on Subways Are for Sleeping and like him on Ilyia Darling. (The quality of material is so different.)

But I find his connection to Andrew Breitbart so disgusting, so abhorrent that I don’t want to go near that part of his life.
