Our favorite waitress at Beaches has been a surrogate for us to watch her belly grow as her due date was a week after our granddaughters. Well, second baby and he has arrived early. We are honored to have received a text this morning with the exciting news & photos of the handsome eight pounder.

We figured he would be here first, still it is now doubly hard to wait for our granddaughter

Looking over some Oscars stuff from last night, I see the Dolby Theater has a large orchestra pit. I thought they had no such thing. So why did they make a big deal out of having the orchestra play remotely from the Capitol Records building several years ago? Was that a one-time thing for some special reason? Was the pit built in more recently?

Those horrid Westboro Baptist Church people protested outside of Bruce and my high school this morning. Apparently the kids handled it well by carrying rainbow flags and standing strong with their multi-racial student body.

I just saw a photo of Billy Porter's gown. I've known him for years, but I never suspected that Hollywood would liberate the inner drag queen.

First review of In My Mind's Eye. What's fascinating and that I knew would happen is that he credits the play with the device of having the two actors playing the same role onstage at the same time. None of that is in the play, that was how I decided to make sure the audience always had clarity about the device.

Still, a very good review for all concerned.
